Improving the Dispersibility of TiO in the Colloidal System Using Trifunctional Spherosilicates.

Titanium dioxide is a commonly used ingredient in cosmetics acting as a thickening agent and inorganic UV filter. However, TiO is difficult to disperse, which causes problems in spreading the formulations. The solution to this problem is to modify the titanium dioxide surface to change its properties by creation of the new type of hybrid inorganic-organic UV filter.

Increased Intraplatelet ADMA Level May Promote Platelet Activation in Diabetes Mellitus.

Background: Antiplatelet therapy has become a standard therapeutic approach in the secondary prevention of cardiovascular system disorders of thrombotic origin. Patients with concomitant diabetes mellitus (DM) obtain fewer benefits from this treatment. Hence, the pathophysiology of altered platelet function in response to glucose metabolism impairment should be of particular interest.
