Background: The tobacco industry uses product descriptors to communicate reduced harm and increase appeal. This cross-sectional study assessed store-level racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic inequities in the distribution of retail tobacco product descriptors in a convenience sample of retailers in Washington, DC.

Methods: Young adults (n = 146) who did not currently use tobacco reported real-time store visits over 14 days.
