J-Resolved (J-Res) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy is pivotal in NMR-based metabolomics, but practitioners face a choice between time-consuming high-resolution (HR) experiments or shorter low-resolution (LR) experiments which exhibit significant peak overlap. Deep learning neural networks have been successfully used in many fields to enhance quality of natural images, especially with regard to resolution, and therefore offer the prospect of improving two-dimensional (2D) NMR data. Here, we introduce the J-RESRGAN, an adapted and modified generative adversarial network (GAN) for image super-resolution (SR), which we trained specifically for metabolomic J-Res spectra to enhance peak resolution.

Background: Tuberous sclerosis complex (TSC) is a multi-system genetic disease that causes benign tumors in the brain and other vital organs. The most debilitating symptoms result from involvement of the central nervous system and lead to a multitude of severe symptoms including seizures, intellectual disability, autism, and behavioral problems. Background: Children are more vulnerable than adults to climate-related health threats, but reviews examining how climate change affects human health have been mainly descriptive and lack an assessment of the magnitude of health effects children face. This is the first systematic review and meta-analysis that identifies which climate-health relationships pose the greatest threats to children.

Aims: Thymic epithelial tumours (TET), including thymomas and thymic carcinomas and thymic neuroendocrine neoplasms, are malignant neoplasms that can be associated with morbidity and mortality. Recently, an updated version of the World Health Organization (WHO) Classification of Thoracic Tumours 5th Edition, 2021 has been released, which included various changes to the classification of these neoplasms. Its goal is to improve cancer patient outcomes worldwide and to advance international benchmarking in cancer management.
