Introduction: Emphasis should be placed on assessing resident education. At our institution, the trans-scrotal (TS) approach for inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) surgery has been widely taught, with infrapubic (IP) approach recently introduced. Feedback and trends on learning a new implant technique is assessed.

Bilateral ureteral obstruction caused by vaginal foreign body: a case report.

Purpose: We present a case of a large, vaginal calculus which eroded into the bladder ultimately causing bilateral ureteral obstruction and acute renal failure.

Laparoscopic heminephrectomy in a horseshoe kidney affected by xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis.

Background And Objectives: Horseshoe kidney is a relatively common renal fusion anomaly. There are increasing reports of successful laparoscopic management of surgical disease in this entity. Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGP) is an inflammatory condition of chronically obstructed and infected kidneys that is typically refractory to medical management.

Prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome.

We review the diagnosis, categorization, and treatment of prostatitis/chronic pelvic pain syndrome based on the National Institutes of Health (NIH) classification. Prostatitis is an extremely common syndrome that afflicts 2%-10% of men. Formerly a purely clinical diagnosis, prostatitis is now classified within a complex series of syndromes (NIH category I-IV prostatitis) that vary widely in clinical presentation and response to treatment.
