Objective: To investigate the clinical application value of microfluidic-based in vitro diagnostic (IVD) technology in pathogenic detection of respiratory tract infections.
Methods: A total of 300 clinical samples, including blood, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid, and pleural effusion, were collected from patients with respiratory tract infections. The samples were randomly divided into three groups: A, B, and C, with 100 cases in each group.
Background: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a chronic disease in which macrophages play an important role in its pathogenesis. Platelet-derived growth factor-BB (PDGF-BB) secreted by macrophages is involved in the repair of vascular endothelial injury during inflammatory reactions.
Methods: The expression levels of M1 macrophages and PDGF-BB in serum and colonic mucosa of 30 patients with Crohn's disease (CD) and 30 patients with ulcerative colitis (UC) were measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and immunohistochemistry.
Objective: PIK3CA-mutant non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is associated with other genetic mutations and may influence treatment strategies and clinical outcomes. We aimed to characterize PIK3CA mutations co-occurring with several major driver mutations using data from published cohorts and our medical center.
Materials And Methods: We analyzed NSCLC patients harboring PIK3CA mutations from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) databases and retrospectively identified NSCLC patients with PIK3CA-mutants at a single medical center from our electronic records.
Background: Neuroendocrine carcinoma (NEC) of the extrahepatic bile duct is very rare, and the treatment and prognosis are unclear. Herein, we report the case of a middle-aged female with primary large cell NEC (LCNEC) of the common hepatic duct combined with distal cholangiocarcinoma (dCCA). Additionally, after a review of the relevant literature, we summarize and compare mixed neuroendocrine-non-neuroendocrine neoplasm (MiNEN) and pure NEC to provide a reference for selecting the appropriate treatment and predicting the prognosis of this rare disease.

Objective: To investigate the clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment of (i) pneumonia.
Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of six patients with pneumonia who were admitted to the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine of the Second Hospital of Jiaxing from December 2021 to September 2022.
Results: All patients reported a fever and other accompanying symptoms, including cough (5/6), chest tightness (1/6), fatigue (2/6), and headache (1/6).
