PAF enhances cancer stem cell properties via β-catenin signaling in hepatocellular carcinoma.

Increasing proofs have declared that liver cancer stem cells (CSCs) are the main contributors to tumor initiation, metastasis, therapy resistance, and recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, the molecular mechanisms underlying CSCs regulation remain largely unclear. Recently, PCNA-associated factor (PAF) was identified to play a key role in maintaining breast cancer cell stemness, but its role in liver cancer stem cells has not been declared yet.
