Single-crystal X-ray diffraction reveals the presence of two homochiral cages (ΛΛΛΛ and ΔΔΔΔ) in the unit cell that crystallize as a racemic mixture. Additionally, a PF anion is observed inside the cavity, in line with isostructural cages built with Ni or Fe.

In bovines, umbilical hernias are the most common defect, and surgical repair often necessitates the use of prosthetic materials. However, there is a high rate of recurrence with sutures or synthetic meshes, largely due to tissue contamination.

When in vitro assays are conducted, it is imperative to perform a histomorphological evaluation as part of the viability analyses throughout the assay time. It is considered that good quality PCLS histological sections are difficult to obtain because they are hard to manipulate, and may shrink or fold during processing.

Exploiting abundant metals such as iron is attractive but becomes challenging due to typically fast nonradiative relaxation processes. In this work, we report on the luminescence and excited-state reactivity of the heteroleptic [Fe(pzTp)(CN)] complex (pzTp = tetrakis(pyrazolyl)borate), which incorporates a σ-donating trispyrazolyl chelate ligand and three monodentate σ-donating and π-accepting cyanide ligands.

In order to study llamas reproductive physiology and early pregnancy aspects, research on embryos between 8 and 12 days post-mating is essential. However, there is a lack of information on llama embryo paraffin embedding, a procedure that exhibits difficulties, mostly for embryo manipulation.

Females are induced ovulators with subsequent development of a corpus luteum (CL) with a short lifespan. Plasma progesterone concentration starts to increase on day 4, peaks on day 8-9 and, in non-pregnant animals, basal concentration is reached around day 10-11 post-induction of ovulation.

Introduction/background: Multiple Myeloma (MM) is a plasma cell derived clonal disorder that represents around 1% of all newly diagnosed neoplasms. Limited data regarding MM treatment in Latin America is available, and access to novel agents for a substantial portion of the population is limited by their high costs.
Materials (or Patients) And Methods: RENEHOC is a bidirectional (retrospective and prospective) multicenter observational registry of hematological malignancies in Colombia.

The mononuclear complexes were structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies which revealed a spherical tricapped trigonal prism geometry with a pseudo D3h symmetry around the LnIII centre. Static (dc) and dynamic (ac) magnetic studies have been performed on these complexes.

The structure and chirality of these complexes have been supported by single-crystal X-Ray diffraction and circular dichroism. The study of the magnetic properties of the Gd complexes revealed a very weak antiferromagnetic interaction between the Gd ions through the bipyrimidine bridging ligand.

The single X-ray crystal structures of the dinuclear complexes show nine-coordinated N O environments for lanthanoid atoms in TbCl and DyCFSO, with distorted geometries, between spherical capped square antiprism and muffin-like, while the dysprosium atoms in DyCl are eight-coordinated, with distorted triangular dodecahedron geometries. In the case of ZnDy, both eight-coordinated, O and O Cl, as well as nine-coordinated N O environments coexist in the crystal structure, with biaugmented trigonal prism, triangular dodecahedron, and muffin-like pseudogeometries.

Theoretical calculations indicate axial ground states for the Ln ions in these complexes, with their local magnetic moments being almost coplanar and tangential to the Ln atoms that define the equilateral triangle. Therefore, they can be considered as single-molecule toroics (SMTs) with almost zero total magnetic moment.
