Background: Ethylene oxide (EO) is a widely used industrial chemical recognized for its health risks, potentially posing threats to human health, including neurotoxicity, cardiovascular damage, and carcinogenic effects. Neurofilament light chain (NfL) is a protein released into the blood following axonal damage. To date, no studies have investigated the relationship between EO exposure and NfL levels.

It has been shown that cleft palate can be detected by ultrasound in first-trimester anatomy scan, but there are no large-scale samples to validate. This study was to confirm the ability of combined two-dimensional(2D)-ultrasound and three-dimensional(3D)-tomographic ultrasound imaging (TUI) to safely detect an fetal cleft palate at 11-13 + 6 weeks large-scale samples.

As one of the most effective measures to treat them, vascular stents have been widely studied by researchers, and presently, the most commonly used is a drug-eluting stent, which reduces the process of rapid endothelialization because the drug is not selective. Fortunately, with the discovery and exploration of micro-nanostructures that can regulate cells selectively, reducing the incidence of "intravascular restenosis" and achieving rapid endothelialization simultaneously are possible through a special structure that cannot only improve endothelial cells (ECs), but also inhibit smooth muscle cells (SMCs).

In recent years, NIRS has shown unique advantages in the auxiliary diagnosis of schizophrenia, and the introduction of bibliometrics has provided a macro perspective for research in this field. Despite the opportunities brought about by these technological developments, remaining challenges require multidisciplinary approach to devise a reliable and accurate diagnosis system for schizophrenia.

In this study, based on the interaction of NFRs and human serum albumin (HSA), we assessed the differences in potential human accumulation of 8 NFRs including 1,2-Dibromo-4-(1,2-dibromoethyl)cyclohexane (TBECH), tetrabromobisphenol A bis(dibromopropyl ether) (TBBPA-DBPE), 2,4,6-tribromophenol (TBP), pentabromophenol (PBP), tri-n-butyl phosphate (TnBP), triphenyl phosphate (TPP), Tri(2-chloroethyl) phosphate (TCEP), and Tri(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate (TDCP). All NFRs could bind to HSA and cause slight damage to its structure, suggesting their potential human accumulation ability.

Methods for perceiving thrombi heterogeneity of thrombolysis resistance is urgently needed for precise thrombolysis. Here, we revealed the relationship between the thrombin heterogeneity and the thrombolysis resistance in thrombi and created an artificial biomarker-based nano-patrol system with robotic functional logic to perceive and report the thrombolysis resistance of thrombi.

Here, using genetically engineered mouse models, we demonstrate that Kmt2c/d knockout in the urothelium led to impaired differentiation, augmented responses to growth and inflammatory stimuli and sensitization to oncogenic transformation by carcinogen and oncogenes. Mechanistically, KMT2D localized to active enhancers and CpG-poor promoters that preferentially regulate the urothelial lineage program and Kmt2c/d knockout led to diminished H3K4me1, H3K27ac and nascent RNA transcription at these sites, which leads to impaired differentiation.

This study introduces a novel unlabeled DNA sequence, poly-dA, designed to exploit the colorimetric properties of both the single strand and the fold-back A-motif structure in conjunction with gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) under varying pH conditions. When exposed to storage temperatures of 4 °C and 25 °C, the color variations in the AuNP solution, influenced by pH level changes in mutton and sea bass samples' different storage periods, are easily discernible to the naked eye within a minute.

Loss of the RAS-GAP NF1 leads to sustained RAF/MEK/ERK signaling in MPNST. However, single-agent MEK inhibitors (MEKi) have failed to elicit a sustained inhibition of the MAPK signaling pathway in MPNST.

However, mimicking this mechanism on the electrochemical sensing interface and enhancing biological affinity through precise spatial arrangement of bivalent aptamer probes still pose a challenge. In this study, we have developed a novel self-assembly layer (SAM) incorporating triblock polyA DNA to enable accurate organization of the aptamer probes on the interface, constructing a "lock-and-key-like" proximity hybridization assay (PHA) biosensor.

However, little is known about the concurrent generation of brominated and nitrated byproducts in the unactivated peroxymonosulfate (PMS) oxidation process. This study revealed that Br can facilitate the transformation of NO to nitrated byproducts during unactivated PMS oxidation of phenol.
