To observe the current situation of fertility preservation among female breast cancer patients ≤ 40 years old and analyze the related factors which influence the utilization of fertility preservation. A single-center retrospective questionnaire was conducted investigating patients diagnosed with breast cancer attending The First Affiliated Hospital of Xian JiaoTong University between January 2016 and December 2019. The questionnaire was redesigned based on previous similar research and the questions needed in this study.

Predicting the risk of presentation delay is crucial to improve the treatment outcomes. This study aimed to develop and validate prediction models of presentation delay risk in gastric cancer patients by using various machine learning models.

Reported changes in the levels of myocardial markers in severe diseases have been limited, with few studies on mild infections. The effects of COVID-19 on cardiac function and changes in myocardial marker levels have not yet been reported.

This case underscores the importance of careful monitoring and a multidisciplinary approach in managing and differentiation of rare cardiac complications in leukemia patients. It aims to improve diagnostic accuracy and therapeutic outcomes in similar challenging scenarios.

Methods: A total of 112 high-risk MM patients were included (single ASCT, (n = 57) or tandem ASCT(n = 55) in this retrospective multicenter study. Responses and outcomes were evaluated.

As a naturally derived inhibitor of autophagy, Kushenol E (KE) is a biprenylated flavonoid and is isolated from , which has been used for the treatment of cancer, hepatitis, and skin diseases. However, KE, as a poorly soluble drug, exhibited strong autophagy regulating activity in in vitro cancer cell lines, but no related studies have reported its antiovarian cancer property. Therefore, it is very beneficial to enhance the antineoplastic properties of KE by establishing an ovarian tumor-targeting nanoparticle system modified with tumor-homing c(RGDfK) peptides.

The lack of specificity in the symptoms and the need to confirm a diagnosis of tachyzoites in fluids or tissues through microscopic examination leads to a delay in reaching a diagnosis. A 28-year-old woman with severe aplastic anemia received stem cell transplantation seven months ago, presented with fever.

Droplet quality in drop-on-demand (DoD) Electrohydrodynamic (EHD) inkjet printing plays a crucial role in influencing the overall performance and manufacturing quality of the operation. The current approach to droplet printing analysis involves manually outlining/labeling the printed dots on the substrate under a microscope and then using microscope software to estimate the dot sizes by assuming the dots have a standard circular shape. Therefore, it is prone to errors.

Phenazine biosynthesis-like domain-containing protein (PBLD) has been reported to be involved in the development of many cancers. However, whether PBLD regulates innate immune responses and viral replication is unclear. In this study, although it was found that the activity of PBLD extends to other PRRs, we focused on the RLR pathway activated via the p53-USP4-MAVS axis in response to virus infections.

This study is to explore letermovir trough concentration (C) correlation with its clinical efficacy and adverse events, and factors affecting its plasma concentrations.
Methods: A prospective, non-interventional study was performed in allo-HSCT recipients receiving letermovir prophylaxis.
Quercetin (QR), recognized as a natural antibacterial ingredient, has found widespread application in the poultry industry. This study investigated the bacteriostatic mechanism and evaluated the inhibitory impact of caffeic acid-grafted chitosan self-assembled micelles loaded quercetin (CA-g-CS/QR) on avian (). The findings indicate that the bactericidal mechanism of CA-g-CS/QR exhibits enhanced efficacy compared to QR alone, disrupting bacterial cell walls, disassembling biofilm structures, and impeding essential components necessary for bacterial growth.

is a commonly used platform for the production of heterologous proteins. Extraction and purification of intracellularly expressed recombinant proteins rely on efficient cell disruption. To facilitate downstream processing, controlled autolytic cells have been designed that lyse automatically to release intracellular proteins when triggered with an internal or external signal.

Nevertheless, the body of research examining the associations among MECOM transcripts, patient prognosis, and their role in modulating the tumor immune microenvironment (TIME) remains sparse, particularly in large cohorts. This study assessed the expression of MECOM transcripts in 352 HGSOC patients and 88 normal ovarian tissues from the combined GTEx/TCGA database.

While considerable research efforts have concentrated on the functional proteins of SARS-CoV-2 in the development of anti-COVID-19 therapeutics, the structural proteins, particularly the N protein, have received comparatively less attention. This study focuses on the N protein, a critical structural component of the virus, and employs advanced deep learning models, including EMPIRE and DeepFrag, to optimize the structures of phenanthridine-based compounds.
