Preliminary Report on Diet Estimation of Taruka ( d'Orbigny, 1834) in an Agricultural Area of the Andean Foothills of the Tarapacá Region, Chile.

The success of conservation programs for the taruka ( d'Orbigny), an endemic and endangered deer, depends on many factors, highlighting anthropogenic and ecological effects. Among the latter, how this herbivore interacts with forage resources is important.
