Introduction: Peripheral neuropathy (PN) is the most common neurodegenerative disorder, and the primary causes are chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) and diabetic neuropathy (DN). Transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) is a promising non-pharmacological and non-invasive intervention that targets key pathways involved with PN. However, research is needed to determine the feasibility, acceptability, and effects of taVNS in people with PN.

Case Description: Assessment of the patient's baseline blood glucose and ketone urinalysis revealed hyperglycemia and ketonuria, respectively. Shortly after testing, the patient became nauseous and vomited.
Purpose: This study aimed to synthesize heat-cured poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) acrylic formulated with copper nanoparticles (nCu) for producing dentures with antimicrobial properties and ability to prevent denture stomatitis (DS).
Methods: nCu/PMMA nanocomposites were prepared through in situ formation of nCu into methyl methacrylate (MMA). The fabricated material was characterized using scanning electron microscopy, spectroscopy (energy-dispersive X-ray, attenuated total reflectance-Fourier-transform infrared, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy), X-ray diffraction analysis, and mechanical flexural tests (ISO 20795-1:2008).
We report on the measurement of detailed balance violation in a coupled, noise-driven linear electronic circuit consisting of two nominally identical RC elements that are coupled via a variable capacitance. The state variables are the time-dependent voltages across each of the two primary capacitors, and the system is driven by independent noise sources in series with each of the resistances. From the recorded time histories of these two voltages, we quantify violations of detailed balance by three methods: (1) explicit construction of the probability current density, (2) constructing the time-dependent stochastic area, and (3) constructing statistical fluctuation loops.

Preclinical studies with radiolabeled CIGB-M3 have showed that the antibody fragment accumulates in human colon tumor xenografts growing in nude mice. A Phase I clinical trial was carried out to determine safety, biodistribution, and pharmacokinetics of the radiolabeled CIGB-M3 in two groups of patients with CEA+ colorectal cancers.

Methods: A randomized, single-dose, two-period, two-sequence, crossover study design with a 2-week washout period was conducted in healthy Chilean males. Plasma samples were collected over a 12-hour period after administration of 150 mg pregabalin in each period.
We present a case of opsismodysplasia, a very rare skeletal dysplasia, in a term newborn female who had short length, short extremities and markedly short fingers. Radiological studies demonstrated severe platyspondyly, absence of epiphyseal ossification centers, short tubular bones, especially severe in hands and feet, with metaphyseal cupping. She also had hydrocephaly, a rare finding in opsismodysplasia.
