Morphea is a sclerosing skin disease that may be clinically confused with a carcinoma when it involves the breast. It has been described in association with earlier radiotherapy and with silicone breast implants. We describe the case of a woman with morphea of the breast who developed necrobiosis lipoidica over the scar of an appendectomy performed 38 years earlier.
