Objective: Radical prostatectomy is a therapeutic option in organ-confined prostate cancer. As the development of robotic systems progresses, the approach with this technology has begun to impact the functional and oncological outcomes of urological patients. The objective is to report the rate of pentafecta in patients undergoing robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP) stratified by risk groups.

A novel mortality risk score for emphysematous pyelonephritis: A multicenter study of the Global Research in the Emphysematous Pyelonephritis group.

Background: Emphysematous pyelonephritis (EPN) is a necrotizing infection of the kidney and the surrounding tissues associated with considerable mortality. We aimed to formulate a score that classifies the risk of mortality in patients with EPN at hospital admission.

Materials And Methods: Patients diagnosed with EPN between 2013 and 2020 were retrospectively included.

Method: To describe the perioperative, functional and oncological outcomes of 13 patients with prostate cancer who underwent RS robotic radical prostatectomy compared to MF, evaluating pathological results, urinary continence, sexual function and oncological control in 1 year of follow-up.

Objective: To present the results of our case series on laparoscopic nephrectomy in xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGP).

Methods: A retrospective study was conducted that included 143 patients treated with laparoscopic nephrectomy for non-functioning kidney, of whom 15 had XGP, within the time frame of 2011 to 2019. The demographic and clinical data were collected, along with the intraoperative results, complications, and days of hospital stay.

Objetivo: La urolitiasis en pacientes pediátricos es una condición de baja frecuencia, con tendencia hacia el aumento, por lo que es importante actualizar a urólogos sobre las opciones terapéuticas actuales. Describir las características clínicas, las técnicas quirúrgicas y sus resultados usadas para el tratamiento de la urolitiasis en pacientes pediátricos.

Materiales Y MÉtodos: El estudio incluyó todos los pacientes menores de 18 años quienes fueron tratados quirúrgicamente por litiasis urinaria desde el año 2017 al 2020, quienes poseían expedientes clínicos completos y seguimiento en el Hospital General de México.
