Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted in 122 very low birthweight infants who required invasive mechanical ventilation for more than 24 h at one tertiary neonatal intensive care unit in Korea from January 2016 to June 2023.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify new susceptibility modules and genes by analyzing the transcriptional profiles of peri-implantitis and periodontitis within the same host environment, using weighted gene co-expression network analysis (WGCNA).
Methods: Gingival tissue samples were collected from 10 patients, each presenting with both periodontitis and peri-implantitis sites, and were used for RNA sequencing. We conducted WGCNA to identify key modules that showed distinct transcriptional expression profiles between periodontitis and peri-implantitis.

To investigate this question, we developed a fully automated variant of the Barnes maze, characterized by 24 vestibules distributed along the periphery of a circular arena, and monitored the trajectories of mice over 15 days as they learned to navigate towards a goal vestibule from a random start vestibule. We show that the patterns of vestibule visits can be reproduced by the combination of three stochastic processes reminiscent of random, serial, and spatial strategies.
