Research Design And Methods: Using the 2010-2021 Korea National Health Insurance Service database, we conducted a population-based cohort study, comparing initiators of SGLT2is versus DPP4is. The primary outcome was incident nephrolithiasis.

Purpose: The etiology and pathophysiology of vaccine-associated chronic urticaria (CU) remain unclear, particularly during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Thus, this study aimed to comprehensively investigate the global burden and long-term trends of vaccine-associated CU, with a focus on the associated vaccines and the distribution of cases across different age groups and sexes.
Methods: Using data from the World Health Organization international pharmacovigilance database (VigiBase), which encompasses reports from 156 countries and territories between 1968 and 2023, we systematically analyzed the global burden and long-term trends in vaccine-associated CU reports (total individual case safety reports = 131,255,418).
Background And Objectives: This study aimed to determine whether there is an association between the use of α-blockers to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and the development of heart failure in elderly Asian patients.
Materials And Methods: An Elderly Cohort Database of the National Health Insurance Service was used to select 22,540 patients with newly diagnosed BPH between January 1, 2008, and December 31, 2018. They were divided into two equal groups, one prescribed α-blockers and one not.
Background: Evidence comparing the impact of various biologics for psoriasis on the progression to psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is limited. Background: There is a dearth of research on the factors linked with adverse events (AEs) associated with nirmatrelvir/ritonavir (NMVr) and molnupiravir (MOL), particularly in the elderly. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate self-reported AEs and identify factors associated with the occurrence of AEs following NMVr or MOL treatment among survey participants aged 60 years or older in South Korea.
Methods: This nationwide survey was conducted through in-person interviews using structured questionnaires, from July 24 to August 31, 2023.
Aim: To evaluate whether the use of sodium-glucose cotransporter-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors which have shown potential neuroprotective effects, is associated with lower risk of dementia in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D) and comorbid mental disorders, who are considerably more susceptible to dementia.
Methods: Using the nationwide healthcare data of South Korea between 2010 and 2022, we conducted a retrospective cohort study among patients with T2D and comorbid mental disorders initiating SGLT2 inhibitors versus active comparator (Dipeptidyl Peptidase IV (DPP4) inhibitors). Hazard ratios (HRs) and rate differences (RDs) per 1000 person-years of incident dementia were estimated after weighting by propensity score fine stratification method.
Introduction: Anti-tumor necrosis factor (anti-TNF) therapy may improve insulin sensitivity, and its impact during pregnancy remains unclear. We aimed to assess the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) associated with anti-TNF treatment among pregnant women with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD).

This study aims to figure out the worldwide prevalence of anticancer therapy-associated acute kidney injury (AKI) and tubulointerstitial nephritis (TIN) and the relative risk of each cancer drug.
