With the advancement of tumor subtype-specific treatments, precise histopathologic distinction between adenocarcinoma (ADC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) is of significant clinical importance. Nevertheless, the current markers are insufficiently precise in poorly differentiated tissue.
