Taste sensors using photonics, termed artificial photonic tongues, have emerged as a promising platform for intuitive taste discrimination. However, the need for complex binding protocols for each taste profile limits their applicability to a narrow range of taste molecules. Here, we introduce an intriguing "binding-free" approach to molecular taste sensing using plasmonics, eliminating the requirement for physical or chemical binding protocols.

Here a scalable "one-shot" self-limiting nanoparticle transfer technique is presented, enabling the efficient transport of nanoparticles from water in microscopic volumes to an entire 2-inch wafer in a remarkably short time of 10 seconds to reach near-maximal surface coverage (≈40%) in a 2D mono-layered fashion. Employing proton engineering in electrostatic assembly accelerates the diffusion of nanoparticles (over 50 µm/s), resulting in a hundredfold faster coating speed than the previously reported results in the literature.

BFT is considered an innovative alternative for solving the problems of traditional aquaculture (for example, environmental pollution, high maintenance costs, and low productivity). Extensive research is being conducted to apply BFT to breed and raise many aquatic animal species.

Previously, we showed that ginseng did not demonstrate estrogenic property in ovariectomized mouse model. However, it is still possible that disruption of steroidogenesis leading to indirect hormonal activity.

Korean bullhead, Pseudobagrus fulvidraco is widely distributed in freshwater ecosystems in Korea, and it is important as an ecological indicator species to evaluate MP toxicity in Korea. In this study, the accumulation and physiological effects of juvenile P.

There has been a recent increase in biofloc addition to fish culture, and this review examines changes this causes to the survival and growth rate of fish and its economic feasibility. Physiological activity and disease resistance of biofloc-fed fish is being extensively studied.

In this study, we demonstrate a selective nanocarrier system composed of annexin A5-labeled poly (lactide-co-glycolide) nanoparticles (PLGA_NPs) encapsulating tumor specific antigen or neoantigen, to target apoptotic tumor cells expressing PS as an innate immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) that induces active cancer immunotherapy. Moreover, PLGA_NPs enhanced tumor-specific antigen-based cytotoxic T cell immunity via the original function of DCs by converting the tumor antigen-rich environment.

To overcome these issues, antibody-based immune checkpoint blockades (eg, antiprogrammed cell death 1 (anti-PD-1) and anti-PD-L1) have been revolutionized to improve immune responses. However, their therapeutic efficacy is limited to 15%-20% of the overall objective response rate.

We developed a chemotherapeutic system comprising a chitosan hydrogel (CH-HG) containing gold cluster-labeled liposomal doxorubicin (DOX) (CH-HG-GL) as an injectable drug depot system. CH-HG-GL can be directly injected into tumor tissue without a surgical procedure, allowing this system to act as a reservoir for liposomal DOX.

SW is known for its gastroprotective effects such as improving liver function and alleviating the effects of Parkinson's disease. AG is known for its neuroprotective effects and for lowering the effects of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol.

Probiotics might possibly induce remission in the treatment of active UC. Aims of our study were to assess the efficacy of VSL#3 on clinical response and colonic tissue cytokine concentration changes in patients with active UC.

Estrogen receptor beta(ERbeta) expressionwas detected in normal parafollicular C cells and MTC tumor tissue, but ERalpha expression in MTC tumors still remains undetermined. The appearance and loss of ERalpha or ERbeta expression has been known to play a role in the development and progression of many human cancers.
