Introduction Myocardial infarction (MI) in young South Indians presents a shifting epidemiological landscape, challenging traditional perceptions of cardiovascular diseases. This study investigates the clinical and angiographic profiles of MI in this subgroup of the population in detail, emphasizing the interaction between lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that contribute to the incidence of MI in younger people. Trans-catheter aortic valve implantation has emerged as an alternative to conventional aortic valve replacement for patients with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis considered to be at very high or prohibitive operative risk. We report the first successful Off-pump trans-apical trans-catheter aortic valve implantation in India for a case of severe calcific aortic stenosis with a Logistic Euroscore of 20%.
