Instruments for the detection of frailty syndrome in older adults: A systematic review.

Frailty is a dynamic process in which there is a reduction in the physical, psychological and/or social function associated with aging. The aim of this study was to identify instruments for the detection of frailty in older adults, characterizing their components, application scenarios, ability to identify pre-frailty and clinimetric properties evaluated. The study was conducted according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA), under registration number CRD42017039318.

Conceptual structure of aging in different ethnicities.

Objective: To develop a conceptual framework that explains how elderly people from different cultures experience aging, formulate concepts and assign values to the process of aging.

Method: Qualitative research conducted with 33 elderly people in a municipality of the triple border. The data were collected between February and August of 2011, using Symbolic Interactionism and the Grounded Theory as the theoretical and methodological strategy.

Filial care and the relationship with the elderly in families of different nationalities.

Objective:: identify how filial care and the relationship with the elderly occur in families of different nationalities.

Method:: qualitative study carried out in a town on the triple frontier of Paraná, comprising 33 elderly people of five different nationalities, adopting the Symbolic Interactionism and the Grounded Theory as theoretical-methodological strategy.

Results:: among Lebanese people, the Muslim religion teaches children to obey and respect parents; among French, distant family relationships and institutions for the elderly stand out.

[Occupational stress: evaluation of intensive care nurses who work at nighttime].

Descriptive, cross-sectional study, which aimed to evaluate the stress level of nighttime intensive care nurses. The Bianchi Stress Scale was applied to 26 (100%) nurses from five hospitals. In data analysis, the Pearson Chi-square test was used and it was noticed that the stress among nurses in a public (3.
