Current Concepts in the Management of Neurogenic Thoracic Outlet Syndrome: A Review.

Unlabelled: Thoracic outlet syndrome is a constellation of signs and symptoms due to compression of the neurovascular bundle of the upper limb. In particular, neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome can present with a wide constellation of clinical manifestations ranging from pain to paresthesia of the upper extremity, resulting in a challenge to correctly diagnose this syndrome. Treatment options range from nonoperative treatment, such as rehabilitation and physical therapy, to surgical correction, such as decompression of the neurovascular bundle.

Opening wedge high tibial osteotomy for medial compartment knee osteoarthritis: Planning and improving outcomes: Case series and literature review.

Background: Opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (OWHTO) is a safe surgical procedure to treat medial compartmental osteoarthritis caused by a varus deformity. Over-correction of this varus deformity can lead to lateral compartment over-loading. In our study, we planned our correction by using the mechanical axis deviation (MAD).

Knee Joint Bone Defects: Reconstruction With Bone Transport and Arthrodesis.

Background: The increasing in primary total knee arthroplasty has led to an increase in infectious complications, revision surgery, and bone loss. Knee joint bone defects (KJBD) may be managed using bone transport and arthrodesis with Ilizarov or bone transport over nail (BTON) techniques. The aim of this study is to compare both techniques in the reconstruction of KJBDs.

Methods: Records of patients undergoing cervical decompressive surgery for spondylosis, disc herniation, or ossification of the longitudinal ligament, including the C4-5 level, were reviewed from a 15-year period, identifying C5 palsy cases.
