Tuberculosis (TB) continues to be the leading cause of morbidity and mortality among human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infected individuals in Sub Saharan Africa, including Uganda. Isoniazid prophylaxis therapy (IPT) is a major public health intervention to limit tuberculosis disease among people living with HIV. Background: Semuto Subcounty reported rubella/measles outbreaks in January 2020 and June-August 2021. This study investigated the outbreak in 2021 to determine the scope, and the factors associated with transmission.
