A replication survey of physicians' expectations and experience with speech recognition technology was conducted before and after its implementation. The expectations survey was administered to emergency medicine physicians prior to training with the speech recognition system. The experience survey consisting of similar items was administered after physicians gained speech recognition technology experience.
