Medical grade PLDL, PLDL/Mg and PLDL/Zn filaments were manufactured by a dual extrusion method and used to prepare coupons and scaffolds with controlled porosity by fused filament fabrication. The mechanical properties, degradation mechanisms and biological performance were carefully analyzed. It was found that the presence of 4 vol.

Over the last few years, the addition of small amounts of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to construction materials has become of great interest, since it enhances some of the mechanical, electrical and thermal properties of the cement. In this sense, single-walled and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs and MWCNTs, respectively) can be incorporated into cement to achieve the above-mentioned improved features. Thus, the current study presents the results of the addition of SWCNTs and MWCNTs on the microstructure and the physical properties of the cement paste.

Steatocystoma multiplex is characterized by the development of numerous steatocystomas. The condition has occasionally been related to congenital bilateral preauricular sinuses. Herein, we present the third case of such an association, a 34-year-old male who was born with bilateral preauricular sinuses that were surgically repaired.

Kaposi varicelliform eruption or eczema herpeticum is well known to be associated with several chronic dermatoses, including atopic dermatitis, foliaceus pemphigus, seborrheic dermatitis, Darier disease, and congenital ichthyosiform erythroderma. Although less frequently, it has also been described in cases of mycosis fungoides and Sèzary syndrome. We would like to report an extremely rare case of a woman with a T-cell cutaneous lymphoma who developed disseminated cutaneous herpes simplex with S.

Soft tissue infections are rare manifestations of extra-intestinal salmonellosis and occur more frequently in immunocompromized patients [1-4]. We report haemorrhagic cellulitis in an immunosuppressed patient with sepsis caused by a non-typhoid Salmonella.

Background: The detection of tumor-associated glycoprotein-72 in the serum of patients with carcinomas, basically of the colon, has proved to be of great use in the follow-up of these gastrointestinal adenocarcinomas.

Results: We report the case of a male patient presenting adenopathies in the right axilla. The histologic study of an adjacent skin tumor enabled the diagnosis of a cutaneous apocrine carcinoma.

The distribution of B27 alleles (B*2701-23) was characterized by PCR-SSP in ankylosing spondylitis and related spondyloarthropathies (SpA) in a sample of B27 positive patients from northern Spain. Six B27 alleles were identified: B*2705,02,03,07,08 and B*2713. B*2705 and 02 were the most common alleles in the SpA studied: ankylosing spondylitis (AS) (n = 89), reactive arthritis (ReA) (n = 11), psoriatic arthritis (PsA) (n = 29), and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) (n = 21).
