In this study, four experimental treatments were evaluated: (T1) alfalfa hay + concentrate, (50:50%, DM); (T2) alfalfa hay + + concentrate, (30:20:50%, DM); (T3) alfalfa hay + prickly pear + concentrate, (30:20:50%, DM); and (T4) alfalfa hay + + prickly pear + concentrate, (30:10:10:50%, DM). NH3-N concentrations in T2 and T4 decreased when replaced with alfalfa hay in 20 and 10%, respectively. Treatments did not affect the concentration of total volatile fatty acids (TVFA) between T3 and T4 ( > 0.

In the present work, a total of 16,345 SARS-CoV-2 positive cases from Durango Mexico diagnosed from May 2020 to December 2021 were analyzed to establish an association of COVID-19 mortality with clinical and demographic variables in a case-control study. Selected variables include patient age, smoking status, sex, presence of comorbidities such as hypertension, diabetes and obesity, as well as patient symptomatology such as fever, dyspnea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.

To this end, we designed a reporter gene fusion carrying the gene under the control of the promoter/operator region of the arsenic operon () in the extrachromosomal plasmid pAD123. This construct was transformed into B.

Thus, the objective of this study was to determine the association between the expression of TLR4, TLR2, and MyD88 with low-grade chronic inflammation in individuals with MHO.
Methods And Results: Men and women with obesity aged 20 to 55 years were enrolled in a cross-sectional study.
Unlabelled: Arsenic (As) is a common contaminant in drinking water in northeastern Mexico, which reduces the expression of cytochrome P450 (CYP 450). This enzyme group metabolizes numerous drugs, such as oral antidiabetic drugs such as pioglitazone (61% CYP 3A4, 49% CYP 2C8). When CYP 450's function is inadequate, it has decreased therapeutic activity in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).

Genes associated with pathophysiological events common to preeclampsia and obesity, such as , remain to be studied; therefore, the aim of the present study was to evaluate this gene in the placentas of women affected with preeclampsia and healthy pregnant women. This case-controlled study included 71 healthy and 64 preeclampsia pregnancies.

The moment in which the structural abnormalities reach the umbral to induce myocardial dysfunction remains elusive.
Aims: To evaluate the anatomic-functional relationship between LV wall thickness and longitudinal systolic dysfunction.
Objective: To know the epidemiological behavior and associations of AF in Mexican population.
Material And Methods: 8,686 patients from 38 cardiologists participating in REMECAR were analyzed. They were divided by gender and age, the comorbidities studied were obesity, chronic kidney disease (CKD), high blood pressure (HBP), diabetes mellitus (DM), dyslipidemia, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hypothyroidism, heart failure (HF) and ischemicheart disease (IHD).
Platypnea orthodeoxia syndrome (POS) is a clinical entity described in the middle of the last century. It is characterized by dyspnea and hypoxemia triggered by standing and relieved with recumbency. The diagnosis is predominately clinical.

Several molecules and signaling pathways are involved in the malignant conversion process. Epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) has been described in HNSCCs, a major type of aggressive carcinoma.

The SNCA gene codifies a protein called α - synuclein; several studies associate genetic and biochemical factors of SNCA with PD, including transcript and plasmatic protein levels, however, contradictory evidence indicates inconclusive results. We aim to compare SNCA mRNA expression, plasmatic α-syn protein and rs356219 SNP between PD cases and a control group, and to identify a potential biomarker in Mexican mestizos', focusing on these three components determined in blood.

Methods: Through a cross-sectional study design, inhabitants of Durango City, Mexico were surveyed between June 2018 and November 2018. Serum samples from the subjects were analysed for anti- IgG and IgM antibodies using commercially available enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays.
Parkinson's disease (PD), a common neurodegenerative disorder, has a complex etiology where environmental and genetic factors intervene. While a number of genes and variants have been identified in recent decades as causative or protective agents of this condition, a limited number of studies have been conducted in mixed populations, such as Mexican Mestizos. The historical convergence of two founding groups and three ethnicities, and the increasing north-to-south gradient of Native American ancestry in Mexico resulted in a subpopulation structure with considerable genetic diversity.

Unfortunately, the majority of cases occur in the general population, at the out-of-hospital level, in homes and in people who were not known to have heart disease. Although the majority of SCA victims are considered to be of cardiac origin and more frequent ischemic, it is not possible to rule out other causes only with the clinical diagnosis.

Background: The left atrium reservoir function has an important role in the global cardiac performance and is determined by multiple cardiac and extra-cardiac factors. A new parameter is introduced, the independent strain, which quantifies left atrium reservoir phase deformation during isovolumetric relaxation.
Aims: Is evaluated whether independent strain can identify intrinsic atrial myocardial damage in hypertension.
