Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) have been used in immunosuppressive therapy due to their therapeutic effects, with the HLA-G molecule seeming to play a fundamental role. This work evaluated alternative MSC sources to bone marrow (BM), namely, umbilical cord tissue (UC), adipose tissue (AD) and dental pulp tissue (DP), and the influence of interferon-γ (IFN-γ) and hypoxia on the cultivation of these cells for use in immunosuppression therapies. Transplanted patients with chronic kidney disease and their respective donors (N = 107 pairs) were genotyped for exons 2 and 3 of the HLA-E locus by sequence-based typing (SBT). Groups' genotype frequencies were compared regarding episodes of clinical rejection by global G test, and binary logistic regression was made to demonstrate the contribution of genetic variables vs epidemiological variables.

Therefore, this study aims to verify the relapse rate and associated factors after the enucleation protocol, peripheral ostectomy and Carnoy's solution.
Methods: This is a retrospective sectional study with 30 patients, selected by non-probabilistic convenience sampling, submitted to the protocol from 2008 to 2018.
The HLA-G and MICA genes are stimulated under inflammatory conditions and code for soluble (sMICA and sHLA-G) or membrane-bound molecules that exhibit immunomodulatory properties. It is still unclear whether they would have a synergistic or antagonistic effect on the immunomodulation of the inflammatory response, such as in chronic kidney disease (CKD), contributing to a better prognosis after the kidney transplantation. The increased risk of bleeding observed in patients on oral anticoagulant therapy (OAT) undergoing outpatient oral surgical procedures has been reported in the literature and remains a major concern in the care of these patients. This work reports the allele frequencies for ten X-STRs (DXS8378, DXS7132, DXS9898, DXS6809, DXS9902, DXS6789, DXS7133, DXS7423, GATA172D05, GATA31E08) in a sample of 800 individuals from Paraná, Brazil. No deviations from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium were observed. Linkage disequilibrium analysis did not reveal association between the X-STRs.

Method: The maxillary and mandibular incisors of 22 patients (12 to 25 years of age; 9 males and 13 females) were treated with fixed appliances and premolar extraction. EARR was defined as the difference in root length before and after incisal retraction on periapical radiographs.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the characteristics of various titanium surfaces modified by cold plasma nitriding in terms of adhesion and proliferation of rat osteoblastlike cells.
Materials And Methods: Samples of grade 2 titanium were subjected to three different surface modification processes: polishing, nitriding by plasma direct current, and nitriding by cathodic cage discharge. To evaluate the effect of the surface treatment on the cellular response, the adhesion and proliferation of osteoblastlike cells (MC3T3) were quantified and the results were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis and Friedman statistical tests.
