Pain diagnoses in the 10th version of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-10) did not adequately support the current management of pain. Therefore, we aimed to review the new 11th revision (ICD-11) in order to analyze its usefulness for the management, coding, research and education of chronic pain from a Latin American perspective. Holmes' tremor (rubral tremor, cerebellar outflow tremor) is characterized by rest, intention and postural tremor, often localized to one upper extremity, associated with ipsilateral dysmetria and dysdiadochokinesia. We describe a case of successful treatment of Holmes' tremor with unilateral nucleus ventralis intermedius (VIM) thalamotomy. The subject is a 43-year-old woman with unremarkable previous medical history.

The aim of this study was to determine the efficacy of laser irradiation of the dorsal root ganglion of the second lumbar spinal nerve for chronic axial low back pain compared to lidocaine injection and radiofrequency treatment.
Study Design/materials And Methods: Twenty-eight patients were randomly divided into three treatment groups: lidocaine injection, radiofrequency, or laser.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to verify the use of medicinal plants by pregnant women treated at four Basic Health Units and at a public maternity facility in Brazil's northeast.
Methods: This is a cross-sectional, quantitative study, performed between February and April 2014. The subjects were 178 pregnant women, aged 18 to 42 years.

Unlabelled: Deep brain stimulation (DBS) has been widely used to control motor symptoms and improve quality of life in patients with Parkinsons disease (PD). Recently, DBS in the subthalamic nucleus (STN) has become the preferred target for patients with mixed motor symptoms. Despite resultant motor and quality of life improvements, the procedure has been associated with cognitive decline, mainly in language skills, and also with psychiatric symptoms.
