Heterotopic neuroglial tissue associated with bilateral palatine cleft.

Isolated heterotopic lesions of neuroglial tissue may rarely present in the head and neck, or they may be associated with other congenital deviations. In this article we present the case of a 7-month-old patient with a central lesion that emerged through the anterior part of a bilateral palatine fissure.

Fetal intermediate rhabdomyoma of the lip: case report.

Fetal rhabdomyoma is a rare benign neoplasm of skeletal muscle that must be distinguished histologically from various malignant lesions, including rhabdomyosarcoma. They have recently been subdivided into two histological variants myxoid and cellular fetal rhabdomyomas. This article describes a case of an 8 month infant with a fetal rhabdomyoma in the upper lip.

Primitive neuroectodermal tumor in the jaw: report of a case.

The neuroectodermal tumor is a malignant neoplasm of round cells originated from the neural crest. The occurrence of this tumor in head and neck is rare. A 5 month old Mexican patient with a primitive neuroectodermic tumor stage IV, in the jaw is reported.

Infantile osteopetrosis: a case report with osteomyelitis of the maxilla.

A case of a pediatric patient diagnosed with osteopetrosis complicated by osteomyelitis in the maxilla is presented. The combined medical-surgical treatment for this type of patient is discussed.
