Motivational congruency has been examined using tasks where participants perform approach or avoidance movements towards socially positive or negative faces. Language is tightly intertwined with interpersonal cognition. Thus, similar situations could be represented by means of language in interpersonal contexts: adjectives furnish valence to people (e.

Vaccination against it, although widespread, has not been completely effective and disease outbreaks still take place on farms which carry out vaccination programmes. Since some of these cases have been attributed to airborne transmission or the spread of the virus via inanimate vectors, the aims of this study were to determine MYXV contamination levels and distribution in the environment of vaccinated farms and to ascertain whether the detected virus corresponded to field strains.

Sixty-five university students participated in a tDCS study, in which a between-subjects design was adopted. Sixty-four participants were also given the behavioral approach system (BAS) and behavioral inhibition system (BIS) scales.

We monitored the serological response and shedding of BoHV-4 in a positive dairy cattle farm with metritis. First, we performed an ELISA to detect BoHV-4 antibodies in all the animals (n = 104).

Human brains encode approach in social relationships as cognitively relevant for adaptive behavior. In this study, using event-related potentials (ERPs), we found that reading approach-social actions are likely to cause activation around the right anterior/middle superior temporal sulcus (STS), a brain area particularly involved in processing action intentionality and social relationships. We consider that the human capacity for the mental rotation of figures could also be adaptive for social relationships at the service of planning interaction with other bodies in social encounters.

The experiment was conducted over 2 grazing seasons (fall 2015 for 91 d and spring 2016 for 84 d). Steers (n = 80 within season, body weight [BW] = 197.

Objective: To estimate the prevalence of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and dementia in adults older than 50 years.
Methods: A two-phase, cross-sectional study was conducted by specialists to evaluate cognition and associated demographic risk factors in 1,235 independent community-dwelling adults from Bogotá.
Air levitation is the process by which an object is lifted without mechanical support in a stable position, by providing an upward force that counteracts the gravitational force exerted on the object. This work presents a low-cost lab implementation of an air levitation system, based on open solutions. The rapid dynamics makes it especially suitable for a control remote lab.

Understanding verbal descriptions of everyday actions could involve the neural representation of action direction (avoidance and approach) toward persons and things. We recorded the electrophysiological activity of participants while they were reading approach/avoidance action sentences that were directed toward a target: a thing/a person (i.e.

Methods: We analysed, in this cohort study, the reversibility, stability and progression of PTDM and prediabetes in 672 patients using repeated oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTTs) for ≤5 years.
Results: Most patients were on tacrolimus, steroids and mycophenolate.
Schmallenberg virus (SBV) is an emergent virus in northwestern Europe since 2011. We conducted this study to evaluate the spread of this virus in a wild ruminant community. During 2013 and 2014, 75 serum samples of roe deer were collected from different locations of the Spanish geography and analysed for the presence of antibodies.

We propose that the encoding of this association enjoys attentional priority, as approach/avoidance representations of past interactions would regulate one's predisposition to either help or harm in subsequent interactions. Participants listened to interactions conveying positive/negative conduct between 2 characters.

Method And Materials: A prospective cohort study was made of 36 patients subjected to 62 tooth extractions. All these 36 patients had been treated or were receiving treatment with zoledronic acid.
The aim of this study was to better understand the epidemiology of five major reproductive pathogens in semi-intensive lamb-producing flocks in North-West Spain. Two thousand four hundred serum samples were collected from 44 flocks, and several factors were studied to assess their influence on seropositivity. Farms that tested seropositive for more than one pathogen were common (84.

Study Design: Data were collected on the clinical manifestations (sex, age), location, size and symptonts of the lesions as well as the evolution time and the initial (presumption) diagnosis.
Results: Twelve patients were documented, with a mean age of 29,5 ± 12,1 years (range 16-50) and a balanced gender distribution.
Purpose: An analysis was performed of the clinical and epidemiologic characteristics of a group of patients diagnosed with oral metastases of distant primary tumors or unknown primary malignancies.
Material And Methods: The study series consisted of 16 patients with oral metastatic lesions seen in the Department of Stomatology and Maxillofacial Surgery, Valencia University General Hospital (Valencia, Spain) that had been diagnosed in the previous 15 years. A retrospective analysis was made of patient age and gender, clinical characteristics of metastatic lesions, location of the primary tumor, and time elapsed from diagnosis to the death of a patient.
Purpose: To evaluate visual and refractive outcomes in amblyopic patients who had bilateral implantation of a multifocal intraocular lens (IOL) with a surface-embedded near section.
Setting: Cathedral Eye Clinic, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom.
Design: Comparative case series.
Recently a psychological mechanism has been proposed between bodily purity and moral purity: the "Macbeth effect". The act of washing their hands seems to free individuals of their guilt. However, the universality of this psychological mechanism is an empirical question that should be studied.

Methods: Based on the 2006 National Health Survey in Spain, we estimated the frequency of use of four health services in men and women from: Spain, Western countries, Eastern Europe, Latin America, North Africa, Sub Saharan Africa and Asia/Oceania. These results were compared with the Spanish population by calculating odds ratios adjusted for age, socioeconomic position, health status, and type of health coverage.
In this study, participants read stories describing emotional episodes with either a positive or negative valence (Experiment 1). Following each story, participants were exposed to short sentences referring to the protagonist, and the event-related potential (ERP) for each sentence's last word was recorded. Some sentences described the protagonist's emotion, either consistent or inconsistent with the story; others were neutral; and others involved a semantically anomalous word.

Aims: We analyze the possible clinical differences between bone jaw exposed areas in ONJ (osteonecrosis of the jaws) and ORN (osteoradionecrosis).
Patients And Method: Group 1 was composed with 53 ONJ cases and group 2 with 20 ORN cases. In both groups we analyzed, the major size of the exposed bone areas, the number of exposed areas, the location on the jaws and the presence of others associated and severe complications, such as skin fistulas and jaw fractures.
Purpose: Mental neuropathy (MN) is characterized by the presence of a sensory defect in the form of paresthesias or dysesthesias in the territory innervated by the mental nerve. MN may be the first manifestation of systemic cancer, a symptom of spread of an established tumor, or a sign of infiltration in an intraoral lesion. In any of these cases, the symptom is indicative of a very poor patient prognosis.
