Levamisole is an immunomodulatory and antihelminthic drug, previously removed from the United States market, and now estimated to be present in the vast majority of cocaine distributed in the United States. Levamisole-adulterated cocaine (LAC) exposure can result in neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and vasculitis with a predilection for subsites of the face. The objective of this review is to increase awareness among otolaryngologists of the manifestations of LAC exposure.

Purpose: Poorer survival from head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) in African Americans (AA) may be due to disparity in the prevalence of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) but earlier studies often failed to control other etiological factors. We aimed to elucidate whether racial disparities in HPV prevalence and overall survival were due to confounding from smoking or alcohol use.

Materials And Methods: 385 patients with SCC of the mouth, pharynx, nose, or larynx who had surgical resection at Wayne State University affiliated hospitals were identified through a population-based cancer registry.

Objectives: This study in children and young adults having cancer-related amputation aimed to examine the incidence of phantom limb pain (PLP) in the first year after amputation and also the proportion of patients who had preamputation pain.
