Article Synopsis
  • Noncollinear antiferromagnets, like IrMn₃, exhibit unique spin Hall effects due to their magnetic spin structure, which complicates spin transport compared to nonmagnetic materials.
  • The study focuses on how the ferromagnetic resonance of permalloy (Ni₈₀Fe₁₆) changes when influenced by spin Hall effects from adjacent IrMn₃ films.
  • Results show a significant modulation in the resonance linewidth for currents applied along the [001] direction of IrMn₃, highlighting the angular dependence of spin-orbit torques and the potential for electrically adjusting magnetization dynamics.

The present study focuses on the use of solid waste generated by the steel works in Brazil for manufacturing clay-based structural products. The waste sample was characterized regarding chemical composition, X-ray diffraction, particle size, morphology, specific surface and plastic properties. The waste was added in gradual proportions to a kaolinitic clay from zero up to 3 wt.
