Facial nerve grafting and end-to-end anastomosis in the middle ear: tympanic cavity and mastoid.

Unlabelled: Sectioned facial nerves can be repaired with grafting or end-to-end anastomosis.

Objective: To discuss these repair procedures and what can be expected of them.

Method: Seven patients with sectioned facial nerves were included in the study.

Intradermal melanocytic nevus of the external auditory canal.

Intradermal nevi are common benign pigmented skin tumors. Their occurrence within the external auditory canal is uncommon. The clinical and pathologic features of an intradermal nevus arising within the external auditory canal are presented, and the literature reviewed.
