Objective: The objective of this study is to evaluate an interdisciplinary and nurse-led cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation programme in patients with coronary heart disease.
Background: Coronary heart disease (CHD) persists as the leading cause of death worldwide. Cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation (CVPR) has an interdisciplinary focus, and includes not only in physiological components, but it also addresses psycho-social factors.
Methods: The study analysed the Spanish psycho-social data collected during the EUROACTION study.
Introduction: Although there is ample evidence on the importance of having good protocols for Trauma patient care, a teaching system for the personnel involved in this care is needed.
Methods: The aim is to describe how we have organised the care for this type of patient in Torrevieja Hospital by creating a Trauma Surgery Unit, a Trauma Committee and a Trauma Team. We also describe how we have developed training in order to ensure personnel get the knowledge and skills to care for these patients correctly (Trauma Surgery Course).
Background: Anomalous coronary artery originating from the opposite sinus of Valsalva (ACAOS) can cause syncope, myocardial infarction, and sudden death in the absence of critical, fixed stenosis. In the following cases, intravascular ultrasonography (IVUS) was used to document the functional anatomy in ACAOS. This application has not been previously reported in the literature.
