IgG4-related disease is an immune-mediated fibro-inflammatory disorder with multisystemic involvement. Aortitis and peri-aortitis are the most common cardiovascular manifestations of the disease. We present the case of a 65-year-old man with symptomatic severe aortic stenosis and concomitant IgG4 aortitis.

Aortoesophageal fistula after thoracic stent grafting is rare and usually fatal. A 66-year-old woman developed an aortoesophageal fistula 1 month after endovascular stent grafting of the thoracic aorta for a complicated type B dissection. She had a fatal episode of massive bleeding before she could be treated.

A large, high internal carotid artery aneurysm partially filled with thrombi in a young, 26-year-old male patient was treated by bypass grafting under deep hypothermia and circulatory arrest. This approach may be preferable to other alternatives in patients with high embolic risk and difficult exposure or inadequate space for distal carotid artery clamping.
