Introduction: Proper conformational arrangement of the E2 molecules of bovine viral diarrhoea-mucosal disease virus (BVD-MDV) is crucial to obtain an effective recombinant vaccine candidate against the disease. In this study, we characterised a new molecule composed of two distinct sequences of the E2 glycoprotein of BVD-MDV and the Fc fragment of human immunoglobulin (BVDE2Fc).
Materials And Methods: The chimaeric protein was expressed in mammalian cell lines of different species by adenoviral transduction and purified by immobilised metal-affinity chromatography.
TNFα is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that is a therapeutic target for inflammatory autoimmune disorders. Thus, TNFα antagonists are successfully used for the treatment of these disorders. Here, new association patterns of rhTNFα and its antagonists Adalimumab and Etanercept are disclosed.

In this study we described a methodology to establish an ELISA sandwich for the quantification of a new vaccine against avian influenza virus H5N1 based on the main antigenic determinant of the virus, the extracellular domain of the glycoprotein hemagglutinin (HA), fused to the extracellular domain of the chicken CD154 glycoprotein (HACD). The chimerical proteins HA and HACD were produced in SiHa cells and the experiments were performed by using three monoclonal antibodies (MAb-HA1, MAb-HA2 and MAb-HA3), alone or conjugated to horseradish peroxidase (HRP-HA1, HRP-HA2 and HRP-HA3).

It has been suggested that their function depends on final conformation of glycosylations, related with affinity to the receptor and its half-life. The presence of EpoR has been reported in different tissues including central nervous system, where it has been demonstrated to exert a neuroprotective function against oxidative stress conditions, such as ischemic injury and neurodegenerative diseases.

Enzyme replacement therapy supplies hGCase to GD patients with a high-cost recombinant enzyme produced in vitro in mammalian or plant cell culture. In this study, we produced hGCase through the direct injection of recombinant adenovirus in the mammary gland of a non-transgenic goat.

Feto-placental tissue, such as Wharton's jelly is a potential source of mesenchymal stem cells with low immunogenic capacity; make them an excellent source of progenitor cells with a potential use for tissue repair. We evaluated whether administration of endothelial cells derived from mesenchymal stem cells isolated from Wharton's jelly (hWMSCs) can accelerate tissue repair in vivo.
