In the era of ultra-connectivity, the proliferation of speculative notions driven by personal emotions eclipses the credibility of scientific evidence. This trend has led to an alarming surge in information pollution, particularly by the pervasive influence of social media platforms. Consequently, this overflow of falsehoods poses a significant threat to public health and overall societal well-being.

In this context, obtaining online information plays a crucial role in promoting health and preventing disease, facilitating individual and collaborative decision-making between patients and dental professionals. Digital information resources play a crucial role in providing guidance, support, and knowledge to the public and health care experts on molar incisor hypomineralisation (MIH).

In this sense, popular belief-driven posts recommending the use of amber necklaces to prevent symptoms of teething can be easily found on social media, even when they offer health risks for children. Accordingly, this study aimed to characterize posts in Portuguese by identifying message-based factors associated with higher user interactions of Facebook.

Methods: Two independent investigators retrieved 500 English-language posts with the highest level of interaction using CrowdTangleTM and analyzed their facticity, motivation, author's profile, content, sentiment, and type of post.
Objectives: In the recent years, liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry has gained popularity in laboratories. This technique has a higher specificity, detects different analytes from a single specimen, measures analytes in distinct matrices, and substantially reduce analytical interference, with respect to immunoassay. The processing and preparation of biological samples are crucial in chromatography.

Aim: This study characterized Facebook posts with false content about the efficacy of amber necklaces in teething.
Design: A sample of 500 English-language Facebook posts was analyzed by two investigators to determine the motivations, author's profile, and sentiments of posts.
Considering the unfavorable implications of health falsehoods and the lack of dental research into information disorder, this study aimed to identify and characterize online oral health misinformation. A total of 410 websites published in English were retrieved using Google Advanced Search and screened by two independent investigators to compile falsehoods through thematic content analysis. Afterward, 318 pieces of misinformation were consensually divided into four groups concerning their informational interest (G1), financial, psychological, and social interests produced/disseminated by non-dental professionals (G2) or by dental professionals (G3), and political interests (G4).

Based on these facts, the aim of this study was to identify and characterize misinformation about dental caries-related content found on Facebook, regarding the predictive factors of user interaction with posts. Then, CrowdTangle retrieved 2,436 posts published in English, ordered by the total interaction of the highest users.

Chewing gum has been shown to reduce duration of ileus in many elective surgeries, but there is a paucity of randomised controlled trials (RCTs) on its effect on duration of ileus among patients undergoing emergency surgery, specifically patients with peritonitis. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of chewing gum on duration of postoperative ileus following laparotomy for gastroduodenal perforations.

Objective: The aim of the present study was to compare the shear bond strength (SBS) of orthodontic brackets bonded to the enamel after at-home and in-office bleaching treatments.
Methods: Sixty bovine incisors were subjected to initial color readings and then classified into three groups: CP (16% carbamide peroxide), HP (35% hydrogen peroxide), and C (control). After treatments, new color readout was obtained, and orthodontic brackets were bonded to the bleached area.
Spiders show a repertoire of strategies to increase their foraging success. In particular, some orb-weaver spiders use attractive body colorations to lure prey. Interestingly, coloration varies with age in many species, which may result in ontogenetic variation of foraging success.

It has been shown that the loss of the Mecp2 protein in Rett syndrome cells alters the transcriptional silencing of coding genes and microRNAs. Herein, we have studied the impact of Mecp2 impairment in a Rett syndrome mouse model on the global transcriptional patterns of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs).

Its etiopathogenesis is currently unknown, but inflammatory traits and associations with autoimmune diseases suggest that AA shares a similar origin. The tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNFα) gene, located on chromosome 6 within the major histocompatibility complex class III gene, may carry previously described polymorphisms--particularly in the promoter region, such as TNFα-308G/A--known to be risk factors in a wide variety of inflammatory pathologies.

Three different vaccines were obtained from the most relevant allergenic mite species: Dermatophagoides pteronvssinus, Dermatophagoides siboney, and Blomia tropicalis. Immuno-analytical methods based on murine monoclonal antibodies and human IgE antibodies were developed for assessing allergenic potency, composition, and stability.

Cytochemical technique with ATP as substrate, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and freeze fracture were used for the studies. In the normal liver biopsies the ultrastructural cytochemical localization of the enzymatic activity was clearly shown in the bile canaliculi.
