Halving the proportion of the people without sustainable access to safe drinking water and basic sanitation is among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Lack of access to safe drinking water has been associated with the prevalence of waterborne diseases. Due to this reported association, the development of household water treatment devices has been an alternative to improve the quality supply of domestic water.
