Early diagnosis of amoebic keratitis due to a mixed infection with Acanthamoeba and Hartmannella.

A mixed keratitis due to Acanthamoeba and Hartmannella species is reported. The patient was a soft contact lens wearer. Early diagnosis was achieved by polymerase chain reaction and culture.
