Objective: Our objectives are twofold: to analyse the frequency of leprosy-related pathological lesions in the cemetery of Sant Llàtzer Hospital (12th-18th c.); and to examine how individuals affected by the disease were perceived and integrated into society during that period in Barcelona.
Materials: The skeletal remains of 87 individuals recovered from the cemetery.
Introduction: We aim to explore the association between NSAIDs consumption, Symptomatic Slow Action Drugs for Osteoarthritis (SYSADOA), analgesics, and antiplatelet drugs, and decline in renal function by estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR).
Methods: We performed a case-control study using the SIDIAP database in Catalonia. We considered defined cases, patients with an eGFR value ≤ 45 ml/min/1.
Between the third millennium BP and the fifth century AD, there are numerous necropolises that house urns in the Iberian Peninsula. One example is the "Pi de la Lliura" (Vidreres, Girona). However, there is a dearth of research concerning these structures.

A reliable method has been developed for the determination of IPTG in E.coli fed-batch fermentation samples with a minimal sample treatment.

Body area networks (BANs) with physiological sensors could improve current healthcare services and at the same time significantly reduce costs to public health systems. We are primarily looking to reduce the transmission power consumption of the wireless communication links by using very low power IBC to connect the BAN sensors, a change that has also been shown to increase the durability of the sensors.
