SARS-CoV-2 is a virus in the coronavirus family originating out of Wuhan, China clinically known as COVID-19. While traditionally thought of as a respiratory virus, COVID-19 can have a multi-organ impact due to its invasion and widespread distribution throughout the body and via the angiotensin converting enzyme.
