Basosquamous Carcinoma: A Single Centre Clinicopathological Evaluation and Proposal of an Evidence-Based Protocol.

Basosquamous carcinoma (BSC) is an uncommon skin malignancy with significant invasive and metastatic potential. There are currently no clear management guidelines. This study evaluates the management and outcomes of patients diagnosed with BSC over a 7-year period.

Lemierre's syndrome following perianal abscess: A case report.

Introduction: Lemierre's syndrome (LS) is a rare and life-threatening condition characterized by suppurative thrombophlebitis of the internal jugular vein (IJV), and a history of head and neck (H&N) sepsis. LS is usually caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum, which is part of the normal flora in the oro-pharynx, and the digestive and urogenital tracts. We here report the first case of LS following perianal sepsis.

Surgical management of a symptomatic extracranial internal carotid artery aneurysm and coexisting carotid body tumor.

Treatment of carotid body tumors and extracranial carotid artery aneurysms are well documented in the literature as separate entities. As distinct pathologies, they present technical difficulties with high complication rates. No patients with simultaneous carotid body tumors and extracranial internal carotid artery aneurysms have been reported.
