To provide accessible, intelligent, and efficient remote access such as the internet of things, rehabilitation, autonomous driving, virtual games, and healthcare, human action recognition (HAR) has gained much attention among computer vision researchers. Several methods have already been addressed to ensure effective and efficient action recognition based on different perspectives including data modalities, feature design, network configuration, and application domains. In this article, we design a new deep learning model by integrating criss-cross attention and edge convolution to extract discriminative features from the skeleton sequence for action recognition.

DNA sequence similarity analysis is necessary for enormous purposes including genome analysis, extracting biological information, finding the evolutionary relationship of species. There are two types of sequence analysis which are alignment-based (AB) and alignment-free (AF). AB is effective for small homologous sequences but becomes -hard problem for long sequences.

Genetic analysis of nervous system function relies on the rigorous description of behavioral phenotypes. However, standard methods for classifying the behavioral patterns of mutant Caenorhabditis elegans rely on human observation and are therefore subjective and imprecise. Here we describe the application of machine learning to quantitatively define and classify the behavioral patterns of C.

Mutants with abnormal patterns of locomotion, also known as uncoordinated (Unc) mutants, have facilitated the genetic dissection of many important aspects of nervous system function and development in the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans. Although a large number of distinct classes of Unc mutants can be distinguished by an experienced observer, precise quantitative definitions of these classes have not been available. Here we describe a new approach for using automatically-acquired image data to quantify the locomotion patterns of wild-type and mutant worms.
