  • Peri-implantitis is a significant issue affecting the success of dental implants, and effective surface decontamination is crucial for treatment success.
  • This study assessed the stability of a new type of dental implant called the separable dental implant (SDI) compared to the conventional non-separable dental implant (NDI) using an animal model of rabbits.
  • Findings revealed that SDI showed equal or superior osseointegration and stability compared to NDI, making it a promising option for easier management of peri-implantitis in future clinical applications.
