Strain 18JY21-1, a Gram-positive, endospore-forming, motile, and rod-shaped bacterium, was isolated from soil in South Korea and was characterised to determine its taxonomic position. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence of strain 18JY21-1 revealed that the strain 18JY21-1 belongs to the genus Paenibacillus in the family Paenibacillaceae in the class Bacilli. The highest degree of sequence similarities of strain 18JY21-1 was found with Paenibacillus doosanensis CAU 1055 (97.

A novel Gram-negative bacterial strain BT320 was isolated from soil collected in Uijeongbu city, Korea. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain BT320 belong to a distinct lineage within the genus Flavisolibacter (family Chitinophagaceae, order Chitinophagales, class Chitinophagia). The strain BT320 was closely related to Flavisolibacter galbus 17J28-26 (97.

A novel bacterial strain, designated 17J68-15, was isolated from dry soil collected in Jeju Island, South Korea. Cells of strain 17J68-15 are Gram-negative, pale-yellow-colored, non-motile, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped was able to grow at 18-42 °C with 0-1% NaCl on R2A agar. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rRNA gene sequence revealed that the strain was distinct from any previously known species of the genus Flaviaesturariibacter.

This study examined patterns of problematic internet use (PIU) among South Korean internet users to investigate the association between PIU and dissociative experiences. Five hundred and eight participants between 20 and 49 years old were recruited through an online panel survey. Using logistic regression analysis with PIU as the dependent variable, we observed that the participants with PIU were more likely to have alcohol-related behaviors or problems, higher levels of perceived stress, and dissociative experiences.
