In this study, we fabricated extended-gate (EG) field-effect transistor (FET) pH sensors with dualgate (DG) structures, using a range of dielectric sensing membranes (SiO₂, Si₃N₄, HfO₂ and Ta₂O) to vary their sensitivity. The fabricated EGFETs consisted of a silicon-on-insulator (SOI)-based metal-oxide semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET) transducer and an EG sensor. We amplified the sensitivity of the device far beyond the Nernst limit (59 mV/pH), which is the theoretical maximum of conventional ion-selective FET (ISFET) sensing, by applying capacitive coupling.

To understand the isolation and classification state of actinobacterial species with valid names for Korean indigenous isolates, isolation source, regional origin, and taxonomic affiliation of the isolates were studied. At the time of this writing, the phylum Actinobacteria consisted of only one class, Actinobacteria, including five subclasses, 10 orders, 56 families, and 330 genera. Recognizing that steel fibers can supplement the brittle tensile characteristics of concrete, many studies have been conducted on the shear performance of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) members. However, previous studies were mostly focused on the shear strength and proposed empirical shear strength equations based on their experimental results. Thus, this study attempts to estimate the strains and stresses in steel fibers by considering the detailed characteristics of steel fibers in SFRC members, from which more accurate estimation on the shear behavior and strength of SFRC members is possible, and the failure mode of steel fibers can be also identified.
