The spectrum and the polarization of the magnetic flux density (B-field) of 6 induction heaters and 1 arc oven were measured by means of a PMM (Italy) spectrum analyser. The spectrum analysis showed that no substantial harmonics were observed while the polarization analysis revealed that the operator's exposure was non-homogeneous within a distance of 1.5 m from the heater.

Article Synopsis
  • The study examines how age and body mass index (BMI) affect the firmness and mechanical properties of skin, specifically analyzing the velocity of shear wave propagation.
  • The research involved measuring resonance running time on the forearm of 110 adults and focused on changes in skin elasticity associated with aging, particularly in individuals over 60 with a normal BMI.
  • Results indicated that while minimum resonance times were consistent across ages and BMI, older subjects displayed increased skin laxity and mechanical anisotropy, suggesting changes in skin properties as people age.
