Identifying early special traffic events is crucial for efficient traffic control management. If there are a sufficient number of vehicles equipped with automatic event detection and report gadgets, this enables a more rapid response to special events, including road debris, unexpected pedestrians, accidents, and malfunctioning vehicles. To address the needs of such a system and service, we propose a framework for an in-vehicle module-based special traffic event and emergency detection and safe driving monitoring service, which utilizes the modified ResNet classification algorithm to improve the efficiency of traffic management on highways.

This study was undertaken to improve the solubility and dissolution of a poorly water-soluble drug, celecoxib, by surface modification with a hydrophilic polymer and a surfactant by using a spray-drying technique. Based on the preliminary solubility tests, hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose (HPMC) and D-α-tocopheryl polyethylene glycol 1000 succinate (TPGS) were selected as the polymer and the surfactant, respectively. A novel surface-modified celecoxib microparticle was successfully fabricated using a spray-drying process with water, HPMC, and TPGS, and without the use of an organic solvent.

A biosensor is a sensing device that incorporates a biological sensing element and a transducer to produce electrochemical, optical, mass, or other signals in proportion to quantitative information about the analytes in the given samples. The microfluidic chip is an attractive miniaturized platform with valuable advantages, e.g.

A novel solid-state reference electrode was developed by combining nanoporous Pt with polyelectrolyte junction. The polyelectrolyte junction was formed in the microchannel connecting the nanoporous Pt and the sample solution, and had layer-by-layer structure of oppositely charged polyelectrolytes. The layer-by-layer polyelectrolyte junction effectively blocked the mass transport of ions and maintains constant pH environments on the surface of the nanoporous Pt.
