Background: We present a case series of upper extremity fibromuscular dysplasia (UE FMD) consisting of 22 patients from two tertiary referral centers focusing on clinical presentation, diagnostic findings, and interventional outcomes. FMD is a noninflammatory, nonatherosclerotic arteriopathy that has a predisposition for middle-aged women. Involvement of the UE is thought to be rare.

After a trip to Belize, a 25-year-old man noticed an erythematous papule on his upper right chest that enlarged over a 6-week period and formed a central aperture. The patient reported feeling movement and intermittent lancinating pains under the skin. The history and examination were consistent with cutaneous myiasis, likely secondary to the human botfly, Dermatobia hominis.

Methods: Consecutive patients who underwent TIPS between January 1992 and December 2008 for refractory hydrothorax were reviewed retrospectively. Clinical, laboratory, and procedural data were collected for all patients by retrospective chart review.
