Objective: We hypothesized that a method to segment human airways from clinical cases and import them into a case presentation environment in Virtual Reality (VR) could be developed to model and visualize complex airway stenosis for efficient surgical planning.
Methods: One normal and two pathological airways modeled from CT scans at a slice thickness of 0.625 mm were processed.

In this case report, we explore a novel technique to remove an embolized Watchman device (Boston Scientific) into the thoracic aorta endovascularly. The technique involves a wire + snare combination that is threaded through the metal struts of the Watchman. This combination technique along with the threading provides increased stability during removal and decreases the risk of the Watchman slipping from the devices and causing further embolization.

A review of the present literature suggests that the growing diversity and sophistication of various approaches have contributed to the expansion of this method to a greater variety of tissue types, experimental conditions, and imaging modalities. In the proof-of-concept study presented in this paper, a simplified and modified version of the tissue clearing method CUBIC (clear, unobstructed brain imaging cocktails and computational analysis) was used in conjunction with fluorescent staining and immunohistochemistry to illustrate the three-dimensional structure and molecular characteristics of inflammatory and degenerative activity in the mouse optic nerve.

Accessibility of diagnostic testing for COVID-19 has been limited by intermittent shortages of supplies required for testing, including flocked nasopharyngeal (FLNP) swabs.

Sex and age are two elements in the establishment of a biological profile for forensic identification. While the pelvic bones are the most ideal structures for sex estimation, the condition of a body is not always ideal due to the nature of death, such as in mass disasters, or postmortem processes.
