The objects of this research were the aboveground and underground parts of Vinca rosea L., a species of periwinkle introduced in Western Georgia. The sum of alkaloids and biologically aactive fractions of monomeric alkaloids were obtained by liquid-liquid extraction, precipitation with petroleum ether (I), polybuffer distribution (II) and 10% acetic acid (III).

The content of bioactive compounds of perennial, fragrant species of tuberose or Polianthes tuberosa L. representing the genus Polianthes L., asparagus (Asparagaceae Juss) family, highly decorative and widely accepted in the perfumery industry and extremely sensitive to environmental conditions, native to Mexico, was studied based on of raw materials of the flowers of the said plant introduced to five different locations of the BBG with various exposition and soil content by green technologies.

A simple, rapid, selective, sensitive gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS/MS) method was developed and validated for the determination of clozapine in human blood. For isolation was used solid phase extraction. The calibration standards range was 5-1500ng/mL.

DEVELOPMENT OF LC-MS/MS METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF THE OLANZAPINE IN HUMAN PLASMA.

The study aim was to develop a validated selective, reproducible and sensitive Liquid Chromatography - Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method for qualitative and quantitative determination of olanzapin (OLZ ) in human plasma. For isolation was used solid phase extraction with the Gilson GX-271 ASPEC Solid phase extraction system, cartridge Supelclean LC-18 SPE 500mg. Elution solvent contained 40mL of isopropanol, 4mL of concentrated ammonium hydroxide and 156mL of freshly prepared methylene chloride.

Analysis of Perilla nankinensis decne essential oil using gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry.

Perilla is the genus of herbaceous plants of Lamiaceae family. The essential oil of Perilla is believed to be essential part of the herb. It was claimed to have anti-inflammatory, anti-hyperlipidemia, antioxidative and antimicrobial activities.

Antioxidant polyphenols from Populus alba growing in Georgia.

The aim of the study was to evaluate natural antioxidant properties of Populus alba. The antioxidant effects in plants are mainly due to the presence of phenolic compounds such as flavonoids, phenolic acids, tannins and phenolic diterpenes. Oxidative damage is implicated in most diseases processes.

Biological active compounds from Georgian Galanthus shaoricus.

Amaryllidaceae alkaloids exhibit antitumour, antiviral and anticholinergic activities. Some of them have been used in the treatment of myasthenia gravis, myopathy and diseases of the nervous system. In this study, the characterization of these compounds from Amaryllidaceae plants along with some biological activities and some regulations to conserve the native flora will be reviewed.

Production of effervescent tablets Mucomali from polysaccharides of Malva Silvestris L.

The aim of the article was the estimation of efficiency of a method of production of effervescent tablets Mucomali from polysaccharides of Malva Silvestris L sum. The 5% polyethylene glycol solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone was used as connective agent. Experimentally was ascertained good solubility of effervescent tablets (Mucomali), produced from polysaccharide of Malva Silvestris L sum.

In vitro cytotoxicity of some medicinal plants from Georgian Amaryllidaceae.

Using an ethnomedical data approach, some Georgian plants, which are used in Georgian traditional medicine for cancer or non-cancer diseases, were collected and evaluated for cytotoxic activity. The cytotoxic effect of the methanol extracts of species from the genera Galanthus and Leucojum was evaluated in vitro on three human cell lines (Hela, ephitheloid cervix carcinoma; HCT-116, colon carcinoma; HL-60, acute myeloid leukaemia). Cell type cytotoxic specificity was observed for some extracts.
