Methods: A multicenter retrospective analysis of patients with surgically staged carcinosarcoma receiving adjuvant therapy from January 2000 to December 2019 was conducted. Inclusion criteria were patients with carcinosarcoma who had received primary surgical treatment, followed by adjuvant therapy with chemotherapy alone, radiation therapy alone, or a combination of chemoradiation.
Background/aim: NEAT is a validated prognostic model that calculates survival estimates based on the number of active tumors, ECOG performance status, albumin, and primary tumor site. Since models are imperfect, we hypothesized that experienced clinicians could predict the survival of patients with metastatic cancer better than a validated prognostic model alone, thereby quantifying the previously unmeasured value of clinical judgment.

Experimental Design: The numbers of granulocytic and monocytic MDSC subsets, effector T cells, and regulatory T cells in the peripheral blood were evaluated pre- and post-sunitinib treatment and concurrent with SBRT.
